Mode
This typographic illustration and page layout was designed for Mode magazine. The design strategy is that of stacked type that represents the nature of Detroit city, cramped and broken. The letter "A" is backwards and parts of letters are missing. The headline, "Last Place," has a double meaning. It represents Detroit's ranking and the sentiment that Detroit is the last place anyone would want to live. The headline, tagline and pull quote are my original copy. The article's body copy is written by Mark Steyn.
